Astonishing, isn't it? I still can hardly believe it.

The Chimpy torture of American and the world is at an end. For Dog's sake, let us NEVER forget what the Bush family has done to this country.

I know, it is astonishing, I feel as if I have to pinch myself I'm not dreaming!

JR, you are right - I don't want to see Jeb Bush running for president and having a shot at it next time!!!

Yes WE Did. All of us- "lowly" bloggers included- have helped turned this country around. Thank you and Congrats to us ALL!!!!

How exciting to share history with you and the crew last night - we've been through a lot together, but this was really momenteous!

Hangover and tiredness aside, I am so happy and yes proud. It was worth every sleep deprived feeling this morning. I still feel like I have to pinch myself to see if it is real.

I feel like I'm dreaming.

It's like a hangover or a buzz but I don't drink or do drugs.

The Bush nightmare is over and we elected Barack Obama president!

Pennsylvania Ave
and Senate and House O' Reps?
remember - they're Dems.

Someone has to be the voice of cynicism around you all. ;-)

A new day for America is at hand, and this new day is for all the people not just the rich.
I am just so glad that America decided for real change!

Amazing! I have never seen so much JOY after an election!

Nothing like a good old-fashioned BLOWOUT!

I hope we don't forget the awfulness of the last eight years, but what I mostly hope is that this is the impetus to keep us moving forwards rather than backwards.

Fran, yes, I feel the same way! I even came to work this morning energized and felt as if a weight was off my shoulders!

Friend #2, am so glad we were together for this. It was so amazing!

Christopher, I know - it is still sinking in!

Randal - yes, we have to keep their toes to the fire and make sure they work together and try to move ahead!

LT, yes, real change indeed! And for the first time in a long time, America did not succumb to fear and hate but instead rose above it.

Dave, so true - it was almost like New Year's Eve 1999 when we went to a new millenium - the celebrations were amazing. I don't remember any election result having this reaction before.

DGuzman, yes! A real blowout, instead of biting our nails until 3 a.m. and not knowing what happened! It was such a relief!

Kevin, I agree - and we have to hold the Democrats accountable now to do what they have no excuse not to do!

now, we must stay busy and remind everyone that pedaling back from the edge of the precipice won't be easy and will take time.

AND repeat over and over and over----
"NEVER AGAIN!"

I'm still smiling. I can't believe I don't have to be all militant today, revolting because the election was stolen or snarking because racism took it down. Wow, hugs all around!

Biggest one day post-election fall in the stock market in history today. There's encouraging news with respect to confidence in President-Elect Obama.

It's morning in America again.

YEESSSS!!!! We did it!

A toxic cloud has lifted.

Two Crows, never again, indeed! We have to make sure of it!

BE, me too - I was fully anticipating how I would react if the race was stolen and what we should do to revolt!

Anonymous, I don't think the post-election stock swoon was due to Obama. The stock market has been swooning and picking itself up like a roller coaster for over a month now - this was about the state of the economy and the upcoming jobs report that is due tomorrow.

Nelseon - yes, that is exactly how it feels.

Tom, I think the whole country feels that way. Even President Bush seemed sincere when he congratulated Obama! Whatever else Bush was, I don't think he is a racist himself, and I think even he appreciated the momentousness of the win and what it says about our country.
