A Return to Regular Programming

I know it's a few days late in coming, but I'd like to take an opportunity to say, "Thank goodness Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are back on the air!"

Yes, it's not quite the same as the pre-strike days; and Jon Stewart is calling his show "A Daily Show" rather than "The Daily Show" in honor of the striking writers. But all in all, his satire is pretty much back on track and once again we are getting the insight and wit we need to get through this campaign.

I knew I missed these shows but didn't realize how much until this week when I suddenly found myself once again anticipating 11 p.m. so I could watch them.

Enjoy the clip, in case you missed this one!

Unfortunately, it may be outdone by an even bigger comedy. Congress is back in session.

Yes, arguing about steroids in Major League Baseball. Like they have nothing better to do!

Hey, I'm glad I read this--I hadn't paid attention that they're airing again!

Wanna do a band meme for Blog-Blond? I'm tagging you!

LOL, sure Kuanyin, I'll be happy to invent another band! It's a fun meme!

I did miss seeing it and thank you for showing it to me.

I am so glad he picked up on the deal with McCain saying he knows how to close borders and yet he says his state is entered into across the border all the time. I have been laughing every time McCain says it and he says it over and over without seeming to hear how ironic it sounds.

Nobody does it like Stewart.

I was happy as a proverbial clam when I saw they were coming back ;)

Slouchimg Mom and Suzi, I so agree! Not having these shows to point out the ridiculousness of what the candidates say, and for that matter, showing us clips of news that we wouldn't have even known about otherwise, was a real loss!

POP, you're right, this is what is so good about it - Stewart shows the juxtapositions of things that people don't always put together. I love when he shows them contradicting themselves completely as well.

Larry, so true!

Dusty, me too!
