Countdown

Days are crawling by
We await November 4th
Hope fighting with fear

Polls are looking good
But anything can happen
I am still afraid.

Fear of bad weather
The dreaded Bradley effect
Even voter fraud.

Diebold malfunctions
Late "October surprises"
Something might happen.

Trolling the poll sites
Viewing electoral maps
Or Magic 8-Balls.

Not until Tuesday
Will any of it matter
Then the vote is real.

Here's hoping
I am a bit
too superstitious
to predict
the winner of
any election
before the
votes are counted.

we must stay strong and know our candidate will prevail. both my husband and I have already voted. my daughter and her husband will vote on tuesday for our candidate. i'm sorry to say that my son will not join us as he's been a young republican since the age of 16...i think he was switched at birth because i have no idea how he turned out this way.

Well we've got our surprise. Obama's aunt might be in the US illegally, and it's looking like the leak was illegal.

Go figure...

I'm hanging on to cautiously optimistic and dreaming of a landslide.

I am holding hope for an honest landslide, so we can save ourselves.

I appreciate your opinion but here is why I am not voting for Obama.

As Obama will win, I hope your enthusiasm is well placed!

I'm taking the day off from TV news.

No GOP blather from Joe and Mica, no Tweety, no Keith and no Rachel.

I'm really worn out from the last 12 months and I need to chill.

I'm off tomorrow and I've volunteered to chauffeur people to the local polling place. My tiny SUV holds 4 which means I can take 3 at a time to the Penfield Fire House and return them home. I need to be proactive and busy and physical to pass the time until the polls close. Then, I will be glued to the TV.

Luckily, tomorrow is supposed to be 70' degrees (20' degrees above normal) so I hope it's an omen that portends good things to come.

And here I thought you were going to make an Olbermann reference. Nice poem. I share your fear of a stolen election and hope that I can check my rage if it is.
