Here is the view from in front of our cabin:
This is the cabin we stayed in:
Views of the lake where we stayed:
Foliage in mountains:
Diva chasing her toy into the lake:
...And bringing it back to "Mommy."Today's Haiku:
Blue sky and blue lake
Fiery leaves in the mountains
Bring peace to my soul.
P.S. I have just discovered that when you start a post, even if you save it as a draft and don't publish it, the date that shows up when you do publish it is the date it was started. So it looks as if I had two posts on Saturday but the Ann Coulter post was actually published on Sunday! Now I just did this post for Monday and instead it's going to look like Sunday so I might as well publish it now. Darn, now I have to write another one for tomorrow! ;-) This NaBloPoMo thing is more complicated than I thought!

Your pictures are beautiful! They remind me somewhat of Big Bear Mountain in CA, where we spent part of our honeymoon.
"date that shows up when you do publish it is the date it was started. "
If you look closely at the very bottom of any draft, you'll see "post options." Click that, and you can set the date you publish on. Drove me nuts too. I couldn't figure out why this thing was "eating" my posts!:)
Love the pics too. And...right about Big Bear...looks just like it. I think most of us had to fuss with that date and time factor for posting at some point. I know I was embarrassed when I realized my mistake.
Sounds as if I'll have to check out Big Bear Mountain, it sounds like a place I would like!
And thanks for the tip about the post options. I had a post for my other blog that I was working on for a few weeks (one of the medical posts) and was quite annoyed when I finally published it and it looked as if it was 3 weeks old already! You would think they'd set the default to be the publish date, not the start of the draft.
Those pics are calling to me. I so want to go there.
I found out that deal about the dates on posts sometime back. To avoid it, I compose my post on Word and save it until I am ready to post it. Then I just copy/paste into blogger. Works for me :)
Beautiful......
Agree with you about NaBloPoMo, no time for writer's block.....
Hi PoP, I have done the Word thing too; probably the easiest way to solve the problem, for sure.
Nick, so true!
Great Pics, Maui. I'm sooo jealous!!
You know, you can change the date and time on a post.
Tomcat, thanks, my husband took most of them!
I will try changing the time on my post next time!
I was going to say about "post options" but see it's already been commented on. I change the dates a lot at the moment so that I can pre do posts for the future. These photos are beautiful....looks the perfect place to get away from it all and love the colours in the trees.

These are great photos - thanks for sharing. Cute doggie!
That is not too far north of where I am(part of the time in Albany, but part time in Nyack) near Albany.
That blog post thing annoys me!
Beautiful. So peaceful.
Those pictures....what a breath of fresh air. Gorgeous.
Thanks for all your comments! We just discovered the area and have fallen in love.
There is also the Catskill region which I know Fran would be familiar with, and we want to explore there too, since it is closer to where we live. We are thinking of buying a small cabin of some kind on a large piece of land if possible, in one of these areas.
