Well, it's once again time for our annual fall trip to Cape Cod. DH and I are on the road again, on our way up to the Cape, stopping tonight in Fairhaven, MA, at the friendly Holiday Inn Express that allows dogs. Diva knows right where to go, as we always ask for the same room, the first one nearest the door. She is looking forward to another week at Gibson's Cottages on the Pond, where she can swim and chase her ball to her heart's content. We are looking forward to a week without work. And reading lots of books. And sitting on the beach. And eating lobster.
Since the cottages we stay at don't have wireless access, my posts may be scarce this week. The library up the street does have computers, and there is wi fi at one of our favorite hangouts in Wellfleet, so I'll check in now and then.
In the meantime, enjoy Willie Nelson singing "On the Road Again."

Betcha!! Saint Wilie at his finest.:)
"I've always been crazy, but it's kept me from losing my mind"
Another quote of his....and my anthem!:)
"(Song From his album "Phases and Stages"; "The last thing I needed, the first thing this morning, was to have you walk out on me."
After half a jug of Bacardi's, that song was absolutely dangerous!)
Er....that second line should read, "....."kept me from going insane."
Oopsie!
Hi Future, you're so fast I hadn't even finished linking the YouTube clip yet!
Ah yes, I know both of those songs as well. I love Willie Nelson. I just realized I was spelling Willie wrong so am fixing it!
One of my favorites has always been "Blue Skies."
Always on my MInd is another good one.
Have a fabulous time....and enjoy that Lobster. Quite a fan of Willie Nelsons myself :o)
Have fun! Fall- Cape Cod- your dog -lobster.
All good stuff.
Hey Mauigirl...just wanted stop by and thank you for rolling Blognonymous. I've added you to my roll as well. Quick question though...neither of your main feeds seem to be updating. Was going to add you to my Bloglines account but am not seeing any new posts. Might want to check that.
As for Cape Cod...I'm jealous. Many of my ancestors come from Cape Cod--Wellfleet, Truro, Eastham going all the way back to the early 1600's, but I've never been to see it for myself.
Wow, I am so happy for Diva, you really named her appropriately!
Check out petswelcome.com for more pet friendly places to stay:)
Oh the Cape sounds so wonderful - hoping to make our first visit to that area in the next couple of years. Oh to get away from it all sounds absolutely lovely. Enjoy your stay dear one!
Oh man..the Cape! My favorite place to go. It's been awhile since I've been there, but plan on heading out that way next summer.
have a great time!
Have fun maui! Evil Spock and The Few will be waiting patiently for your return!
Lobster Rolls!
Thanks for everyone's comments and good wishes! And thanks, Kvatch, for letting me know about the feed issue. I'm not really up on all those feed things so will try to figure out what might be happening.
I'm sitting in a cafe in Orleans that has wi fi so will be able to post and read blogs! The withdrawal symptoms are starting to subside.
