A Cat's Eye View

Baxter here. I am here to do a Very Quick Post, which goes against my Grain as I like to take things Slow and Easy and really Give them the Attention they deserve. But my Humans are leaving Today to go to that Other Place they go to, the one with the Ocean. I think they call it Cape Cod. Their Suitcases are all packed and sitting in the Hallway and I am feeling Anxious about it. I really don't like when they go to this place, because it is Farther Away and they stay longer.

Oh well, That Nice Woman (I think my Female Human refers to her as Friend #2 here) is going to be Serving Me while I am awaiting their return. At least That Dog goes with them so she won't be here to plague Me.

I will Forego my usual News Roundup and just mention that, predictably, those Republicans are twisting their Tails in a Knot trying to figure out what they can say against the President's Supreme Court Nominee. They are trying out a number of Methods to criticize her, including the usual "Liberal Activist Judge" title. We shall see which one sticks, if any, and whether it Does them any Good. Unless the Democrats are totally Disloyal (something that does happen), their Majority should be able to get her confirmed.

I probably will not get an Opportunity to Use the Computer while the Humans are gone but my Female Human will be trying to Log On occasionally over the next Week.

With that, I wish you all a Great Week and will go take to my Bed and snort Catnip to drown my Sorrows.

Tell Maui that I hope they have a wonderful trip.

And Republicans twisting their tails in knots? That's a great phrase.

I hope your humans have a wonderful fun trip and enjoy their time away.
I know you will enjoy your

Yes, I agree, twisting their tails in knots sounds just about right. That is a good phrase and a very apt description.

But then, it is their own fault for getting that way.. it could have been handled very simply.

Not to worry Baxter. You would not like the sand fleas. You're better off where you are. Hope the humans have fun. Catch ya on the back side!

Baxter, I have faith that you can find something "to get into" while Maui is away. You relate so well to "tails in a knot." Tell Maui to hurry back and have a good time.

Baxter, 'Grain here: enjoy your vacation too. This is a great chance to catchup on your sleep and star out the windows. Both are excellent hobbies by the way.

Thanks all! Baxter says thanks for the comments on his post.

I'm at my last outpost of computer access, the motel in Fairhaven, Mass., that we stop at on the way up. Cottages have no computer access but will try to check in during the week at the local coffee shop, which does have it. Have a great week!

Baxter~ I know it will be tempting to maybe shred some curtains or toilet paper the house.... but think of it this way--- you rule the roost. No competing with the dog for couch space so you can spread out all you want. You are Royalty!
As for those politicos.... well, they are just crazy. Talk about cat fights! They are always thrashing fangs & claws & going for the jugular. Jeez..... take a nap & chill out.
Those 2 legged ones are so confused!
They lash out when they should chill & chill out when they should lash.
If only they would be so freaked out about the crime stuff.... how come the Canadians get it, but we don't???

I hope your humans enjoy the beach. Getting sand in between your toes, and listening to the ocean instead of talking heads does humans good- and often makes more sense!!!

Enjoy your run of the house!
