Last NaBloPoMo Post!

30 days! I did it. Two Novembers in a row I didn't miss a day. Woo hoo!

I will close the month, and the long weekend, out with a haiku or two. We just arrived home and it was a long drive in the snow which became rain south of Albany.

Here I am again
Back in familiar Jersey
And it's cold and wet.

Thanksgiving's over
And so is the long weekend
How quickly it flew.

I can't help but think
Our lives are also like that -
Flying by too fast.

When I was a child
Looking ahead to summer
It seemed like forever.

Now it just flies by
A few months of warm weather
Then winter is here.

(Sorry, think I'm having a little episode of Seasonal Affective Disorder here. Bear with me...)

I have already decided that I am going to refuse to return to school tomorrow. I am not going. Not.

If he stays home, I sure hope he vacuums the stairs.

Welcome home, Maui. May the sun shine tomorrow. I'm sick of the dreary weather too.

Hi Mathman, I am in solidarity with you! We should go on strike!

DCup, even I would vacuum if I could stay home tomorrow (and I HATE to vacuum!) Thanks for the wishes for sun - I hope it happens for you. I think rain is forecast here though!

Never let it be said that Kvatch let the challenge of verse go unanswered:

'Black Friday' shopping...
Your patriotic duty.
Pray the doors stay on.

Kvatch, that was a brilliant haiku and sadly appropriate!

Congratulation are in order! I have never tried that.

Congrats---i've never taken on the challenge as it looked way too much!

This is contagious
I could blame it all on you
And be outrageous

Never wrote haiku
Thought it was a waste of time
Now what do I do?

Thanks Rhea and Kuanyin - it's not that hard once you get into the habit of it!

Dave Dubya, you wrote some awesome haiku there! I hadn't done it before either but once I started doing it, it's hard to stop! And yours even rhyme!

Randal, a great haiku - and when it comes to snow, I do like it - in small doses!

Odessa, thanks! ;-) As for SAD, I think I've had it for years; I kind of hibernate in the winter! Hope your Turkey Day was great - ours was nice!
